FX 8150 BULLDOZER UPDATE AFTER 6 MONTHS 11/03/2012
This review is from: AMD FX-8150 Zambezi 8-Core 3.6 GHz Socket AM3+ 125W FD8150FRGUBOX Desktop Processor
Purchased this CPU 6 months ago, and figured I do a follow up reveiw. I love this CPU. I have upgraded from a PHENOM 960T and the difference is astounding. My very first 2 PC's were Intel's and then I tried my first AMD when I was warned I would regret it, and guess what I have owned nothing but AMD's since. 4 past computers were AMD's and I'm a happy AMD user for life!
Its not 16 or 32 cores .... but when AMD comes out with the world's first desktop 16 or 32 core cpu... I will be there! I will have it! The power will be MINE!!!!
Something irritating I found out on the "egg" and not very happy about. I am researching laptops, thinking about a new laptop purchase. How come under LAPTOPS there are 970 Intel laptops by different manufacturers and only 117 AMD's available. Scales seem kind of tilted to favor Intel? No? How is AMD ever supposed to be competitive if no one will evenly supply their products next to intels products? I will look around for the biggest supplier of AMD products... and that is where I will get my laptop and perhaps all future PC purchases. Keep the table fair!!! Doesn't seem fair with a 970 intel vs 117 amd laptop list. Every time I use my AMD's they blow my mind. They will blow your mind too!
Buy any of the AMD FX SERIES... or any AMD product for that matter! ...I would in a heartbeat!
