Great case for beginners! 11/24/2012
This review is from: Corsair Carbide Series 300R Black Steel / Plastic ATX Mid Tower Computer Case
Spacious and easy to work in with all the clippy snappy parts. No sharp edges. Cable management is a breeze. Almost always on sale for $70 somewhere.
Side panels can be a pain to get back on correctly.
I've only built into two other low end Antec cases, so I don't have a lot to compare it to, but that said I LOVED this case when I got and used my first one. It was just so much easier. I've now built 4 machines with the 300R.
Particularly if you are a first time builder, I'd go with this case because I don't think you can find anything that has less screwing and hassling for the same price as this case on sale, which it almost always is.
The poster who said this case comes with one stands, then complained that the mobo was too hight after installing it... can you guys guess why? The case comes with raised metal that supports the mobo directly with no stands. The "one stand" is not actually a stand but a pin that you can place through a middle-ish hole on your mobo as you place it down, which makes it easier to get into place pushing against the jack panel in the back. You can remove it if you like or if your mobo doesn't have a hole there.
