40% performance boost in my setup
None for me
Was getting 220 MB/sec transfer rate, now it's 365 MB/sec. For those who understand such things there's a caveat: With most motherboards, if you have only one PCI-E 2.0 slot populated with a graphics card, the bandwidth will be x16. If you populate the 2nd slot, both slots will have bandwidth of x8. That is how I'm running. If I had a chip with onboard graphics and had only Velocity solo populating a PCI-E 2.0 slot, it would be running at x16 and I would no doubt get a transfer rate better than my current 365MB/sec. Since I'm no gamer and my graphics card is fine running x8, it was worth the small investment. I did not need to clone my drive since I already had an SSD boot drive (Samsung 830 128GB). Just unplugged the storage drive, booted up and Windows 7 recognized it immediately.
