Nice but some major issues 01/27/2013
This review is from: MSI A55M-P33 FM1 AMD A55 (Hudson D2) Micro ATX AMD Motherboard with UEFI BIOS
Pros:
the motherboard is well made and compact, runs well
Cons:
Well I have 2 issues with the board, first in trying to upgrade the BIOS it seems you can't do it if you are running 64bit Windows, are you kidding me, how long has Windows 7 been out?
The other major con involves adding any software or hardware the motherboard does not like, when it reboots it shows no SATA devices so it juts boots to the BIOS showing nothing is there WHY. I found unplugging the power supply and restarting and all is good, until it decides it does not like something?
Overall Review:
I really liked this board to start, the quick start guide is pretty thin so I had to go to the online manual to find out where to plug in the connectors from the motherboard, but it worked fine from the first time I started it up, right up until I decided to install some software when it went to no SATA devices
Manufacturer Response:
Dear Valued Customer,
We apologize for the issues that you are having with this product.
The flash utility from the zip package is for DOS only, but you can use M-Flash to flash in the BIOS, or you can use Live Update in Windows to flash within Windows.
