Pros:

Where to start?

- Fastest single GPU on the market (besides Titan, which for $1000 doesn't count :-p)
- Great cooling
- Very VERY quiet (even at 100%)
- Very fast
- Awesome overclocks! (YMMV of course)
- Even minor overclocks dramatically improve performance

Cons:

Nothing negative to say about the actual hardware.

AMD's drivers are getting better by the day but I have had a few issues here and there with a couple games that I didn't with my old Nvidia GTX 580. Nothing in particular, just, if Nvidia were 100% I'd say AMD is like 90-95% when it comes to drivers.

Another negative, which is true with all the 7970 GPU's and not just this card is that overclocks are very temperamental based on the temperature. My overclocks (1200/1800) are rock solid stable below 70C. Once I hit 71-72C though the card crashes. So no problems as long as your card stays cool (which it will with the awesome Dual-X cooler) it's just something I've noticed. My GTX 580 didn't care about temps when it came to overclocking. AAs long as the 580 didn't reach like 90-100C the overclock was ALWAYS stable. Don't really know why the 7970's are like this, but they are.

Just some things to keep in mind. Nothing really a negative per se, just thought them worthy of being pointed out.

Definitely hella-happy with my 7970 though and wouldn't trade it for anything!

Overall Review:

Have it overclocked to 1200mhz on the core at 1.225v and 1800mhz on the RAM. All while running MAX at 65-68C. 100% fan speed to support this speed but the fans are SO quiet, especially compared to the stock reference cooler on my other 7970. Night and day difference.

To touch up on one of my positive points though is the frames per second boost overclocking brings. From stock speeds (950mhz) to even a modest (should be achievable with any 7970 Dual-X) 1100mhz my frame rates jump from like ~60 frames per second to like ~75 frames per second. Even my GTX 580 overclocked something like 200mhz+ on the core never brought such dramatic differences like this. Truly is amazing in every sense.

Well that's about it. I'd say if you are looking for 7970 this is the one to get. Spectacular cooling, great price, and more importantly amazing game performance! With a 7970 you can literally run anything!
