High end Bang for the Buck 05/30/2013
Decent clocks, good price considering the competition. I waited for the 770 GTX reviews before purchasing. This card still made the most sense, MIR for xtra coinage
Price of high performing video cards in general... considering this has been on the market for awhile now.
770 GTX is faster, but $400 w/no games. This card $260-$280 (MIR) w/4 games that I would eventually purchase and play regardless. So, let's say games worth $60-$80 to me, that makes the card $200. Sell my 6950 for $100 now that makes this card a $100 upgrade vs. a $300 upgrade on the 770 GTX. So the question: is a 770 GTX $200 faster than a 7950? Or if I had a 7950 would I pay $200 to upgrade to a 770 GTX? I am a high end (not ultra enthusiast) bang for the buck gamer so for me the answer is an easy no. 7950 for single monitor gaming at a $100 net cost to me is IMO the bang for the buck choice YMMV.
