Silly ammount of memory 06/20/2013
Okay, seriously, this stuff is awesome. There is no reason to not buy a full 16gb stack when the price is this low. I've not built a new rig in several years so the new speed was unexpected.
I used to max out the 4gb of ram I had before but 16gb is a bit harder to do that with. It's actually downright impossible in almost any normal scenario. I've tried goofy stuff like running a couple games in the background, 30 or 40 tabs in my browser, and doing a ton of filter work in Photoshop CS6 all at once and I still had almost half the memory available.
I've never had one problem with the memory, even when overclocking and such. I've run my 3570k at 4.2ghz pretty easily and the memory stays rock solid.
I doesn't bring me breakfast in the morning... Really though, there are no cons, its memory and it works, in this case it works really well.
Make sure to enable the correct memory profile in your BIOS, I ran these with loose timings accidentally for a couple months before remembering to use the correct profile. It was very easy on my GA-Z77X-UP5 TH, literally just go into the BIOS and select the memory profile labeled "profile1" (the only choice) that has nice 9-9-9-24 timings. Otherwise I think it runs it on a looser default setting, it was never slow before, its even faster after.
