Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit (Full Version) - OEM

2 out of 5 eggs Stuck with Windows 8 07/07/2013

This review is from: Microsoft Windows 8 64-bit (Full Version)

-It's newer
-boot times are crazy fast
-Win8's "Refresh PC" option

-Unstable OS for Radeon HD 7k series, the most stable drivers for this series is 12.6 (for Windows 7), which is the last driver before the unstable-fest that comes with COMPATIBLE Windows 8 drivers (12.8 drivers and above.
-Metro UI
-"Apps" are useless
-When clicking on links, it uses IE unless you disable it
-It's overpriced for the headaches this OS gives

Other Thoughts:

-I also blame AMD for having BAD drivers but also Windows 8 for not releasing any type of patch to fix ANY of the 3d application bugs
-I bought the Home Premium version
-If you're planning to game a lot and you want to TRY Windows 8, buy the Pro version or above because this OS is very buggy with many 3d applications and at the moment, there isn't much support to fix these bugs leaving Windows 8 in a bug-fest for any game.
-I really wish I could roll back to Windows 7
