This review is from: YAMAHA YAS-101 2.1 CH Front Surround System (Black) Single
Sounds way better than my tv speakers (not hard to do)
It looks nice
It takes up very little room considering the sub is integrated into the soundbar.
The bass sounds pretty good; the bass is not muddy
Voices on movies with decent quality sound are very clear.
It has a seperate volume for the bass
You can program your basic tv remote to perform power on/off and volume +/- (and my tv is a TCL which is not a super popular brand as far as I know)
Bass doesn't get that loud if you like to have a crazy amount of bass. (although to me it is great for movies and such and I leave it about half way up.)
You can't make it sit completely flat because it has two "legs" although they can be taken off, there are still two little legs underneath those.
I personally can't tell a big difference between the stereo and "surround" settings that it has. That would be asking a bit much considering that it is a 2.1 sound bar, but I really don't know what that feature is for.
It is an excellent upgrade from basic tv speakers. If you are looking for something to make speech more audible during movies or tv shows then this is an excellent purchase.
