This small camera provides good picture quality, easy to use controls, a touch screen and works with Linux (OpenSuSE 12.1) no drivers needed. Several modes provide for interesting shooting options and customization. The lens is good, photo taking responsive and quick, and the autofocus reasonably intelligent.
My biggest complaint is the lack of a spot for my left thumb on the back of the camera. Though I've found gripping the control knob around the lens works reasonably well. There is some blurring of the pictures at higher ISO settings. This hasn't been a big problem, however, as I mostly shoot at the lower end of the range. The included wrist strap is a bit short, but this is easily remedied.
While not a replacement for a DSLR, this camera is significantly better than a phone or compact camera, and small enough to carry in a pocket. It replaced a 35mm pocket camera I used when traveling, and has exceeded my expectations in that role.
