This review is from: Motorola Droid X MB810 Smartphone for Verizon (Black)
Slim, lightweight design
Great camera (when it works)
Navigation works well (when it can find the GPS & run without freezing the entire phone )
OK battery life
Slow performance loading apps
Unresponsive screen / Accuracy probelms with screen
Freezes / Crashes very frequently
3G not very fast / buffers often on media apps
Pre-loaded with bloatware like Blockbuster etc (even on refurbished phones)
I've had this phone over 2 years, and out of all that time, I was only truly happy for it for the first 9 months. After that point, I started to have more and more frequent problems with the phone running slow in general (i.e. loading of apps); the screen becoming unresponsive, and the phone frequently freezing up or crashing. I don't know if this was due to of upgrades to the OS or what; but it wasn't my doing, I've never had an excessive amount of apps or data on the phone, and the few apps I do have installed are reputable / mainstream ones like Facebook, Pandora, etc. A while back I got a warranty replacement from Verizon (which was a refurbished phone), it runs slightly better than my old one, but still barely runs Rdio, my favorite app, and crashes almost daily for no apparent reason.
It's too bad the performance of this phone is so poor, because it's an attractive phone with a nice big screen, great camera (when working), etc. If only it actually worked. If the Droid X were a car it'd be a BMW M3, but with a Yugo engine in it....
