This review is from: Antec KUHLER H2O 920 Liquid Cooling System
Pros:
Cools the FX processors nicely.
Chill Control V is wonderful. You can set whatever value you wish or go to extreme, reboot, and experiment in overclocking until you find what works for your system and create a custom profile.
Keeps my liquid temps under 29°C under the default profile and they never get higher than 40°C when maxing out.
More efficient than other radiators of this size.
Cons:
The only con I can think of is how loud the fans are when you set the software to extreme but I'm not sure what one should expect if you're maxing the fans out 24/7. I guess buy some quieter fans?
Overall Review:
I bought this unit back in December of 2011. This closed loop liquid cooler has seen an FX8150, FX8350, and now a FX9590. It has absolutely no problems keeping these processors cool and quiet under it's default value. Even when gaming I hear the fans from my video cards over this unit. The only time I really hear the fans is during overclocked sessions which is no longer necessary with the 9590. Put it this way, it runs quieter with the 9590 at it's default value of 4.7ghz than it did with my 8350 overclocked to 4.7ghz..
I had absolutely no issues attaching the unit to my case (Antec-900) with the included hardware so I'm not sure what the fuss is about. My motherboard recognizes the device and Chill Control V works great. The unit is very easy to install if you use a little common sense.
I can't speak for the instructions because I never bothered to look at them but it's so easy even a caveman can do it. Hope this helps someone ;)
