Great Little Modem 10/24/2013
This review is from: ARRIS SurfBoard SB6121 DOCSIS 3.0 Cable Modem
So far this modem has worked great. I'm on Time-Warner, and they decided a couple of months back, to jack up the price of their modem I was leasing. After doing the math, it only made sense to BUY one! It will pay for itself within a year and it was one that Time Warner had on their list of compatible modems if you wanted to purchase your own, so you need to be sure and check your cable company's website for that!. I'm using an older NetGear router, but plan to upgrade that also, but both are working great together. As of yet, this router has not dropped a connection, (knock on wood), but, if it were going to drop connection, I'm sure it would have done so by now. You will have to contact your cable provider to get it activated. That's always fun...I always seem to get the "not so bright" tech! It's compact in size too. I really liked that.
Some WiFi devices are not compatible with Docsis 3, which this modem is.
Buy this modem on sale if you can. But it's a good preforming little modem at any price and it delivers.
