This review is from: Logitech K400 2.4GHz Wireless Touch Keyboard
Good look and sleek
Nice touch to the keys
Great size for HTPC use
touch pad doesnt really feel the same other devices that use the same (laptops)
wireless reception was annoying at best!
This was used to replace a wired keyboard and a wireless mouse setup, which subsequently was temporarily being used to replace a full wireless setup that died after a few years.
The concept of this is great and quite a few of its features are nice but the main factor of this product is that it is wireless so unfortunately when this function didnt work, everything else doesnt matter!
Although only about 6 feet away from direct sight of the nano receiver, the signal would drop out, become weak and was constantly dropping keystrokes. Also it would take a while to register using the touchpad forcing the user to "scribble" on the pad before issuing the desired movement/s. Additionally for my use I did conclude that an actual mouse is better for the type of interaction I have with my HTPC. Just a personal prefference.
Frustrating more than anything and I did try a few troubleshooting steps like moving the receiver to different usb ports.....even plugging it to an extension and placing it at various points around the room. But theres only so much one can do with what would be considered a simple plug & play product. Disappointing, so returned and decided to go with another brand and 5GHz technology which has been a much better experience.
