Not meant for music 12/14/2013
*Clear voice and audio on calls
*Not much bass as this is a headset meant for communication within gaming
*Sound gets annoyingly "scratchy" at high volumes
*Rather small earbuds
*Occasionally mutes for no reason
These were like 70 dollar earbuds on sale for 10 and TurtleBeach doesn't usually disappoint in terms of their higher end headsets so I thought I'd give them a try. Off the bat I noticed the audio was clear, with music I could hear all the instruments, but there was no "kick/bass".
While Turtlebeach advertises that these are good for music as well I have to say first and foremost Turtlebeach is a gaming communication company so gaming communication comes first. So these are obviously tuned more towards communicating (in which you don't need bass) rather than listening to music. So if I were using these on a PSP they would be fine as I'd be able to hear the game sounds and my friends talking equally well, but for music it falls flat.
