PSU failed in 2 months, Newegg and HP will not honor warranty 12/16/2013

The unit is fine as a desktop. Does what you need. The pricing is average but I have to spend $80 - $100 to buy a replacement power supply, boosting total cost.
Although I have 8 months of warranty left, both newegg and HP refuse to honor the warranty. Each claims that the OTHER is responsible. Well between the one that made the PC and the one that sold it, you'd think a warranty is a warranty. Nope, not worth the "paper" that it's "printed" on.
As an aside, this was the straw that broke the camel's back. After doing business with newegg for over a decade, I will never buy anything from them again. (The replacement PSU? Yeah, that's coming from a retailer that has the name of a large cat in the name, and then the word direct).
