Overall Review:
I just RMA'd a Hauppauge 2250 that gave me days worth of trouble and research. Upon trying to install the Hauppauge 2250, I had to call customer service because I didn't have a CD/DVD drive. They had to approve my cards MAC address so that I could install the software. FYI, the NA Customer Service is in New York so they are not nice at all. After getting the card in, the remote did not work. I had to get additional software, additional menus, additional settings... it was a pain. None of it worked. And after I did get it all working, I put my computer to sleep and the next day when I turned it on, the card was dead. Trash.
In comparison, this card was perfect. Plug it in, install one CD worth of software (no need for online drivers, etc) and configure WMC to the new tuner card and BAM! TV on my PC. Simple and easy. Had the remote and the card up and running in WMC in 20 minutes. I would recommend this card with a WMC remote as this card is super cheap when it goes on sale. Best buy ever for my HTPC.
