CPU Pins bent and broken 01/24/2014
This review is from: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard
Looks new when opening the box
From what I've been reading on line after my discovery is that ASRock has a known issue with RAM slots and CPU pins being faulty or bent.
My previous computer died after 8 years. I bought this and had the order rushed and shipped overnight so that I could get my machine up and running for work. I now don't have a working machine due to broken and bent pins on the CPU socket. It was a frustrating discovery to open the box, slide out the MOBO and at first sight see that it was completely unusable. This lack of QA will now push back my deadline and I'm sure upset my client.
Dear ASRock Customer
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused you.
The CPU socket has been covered with protection CAP to avoid damage the pins.
