BAD. Got 180MB/s read and 130MB/s write. Very upsetting.
I bought this when it was 70 dollars to upgrade either my Laptop or my older Desktop. I was giddy about the "steal of a deal" until I researched further and saw many, many issues concerning the 5.0.6 firmware and my SSD came with it. Using SATA rev 3, I couldn't get any higher results with Crystal Benchmark. Unacceptable that Kingston would allow this. I WILL NOT BUY FROM KINGSTON AGAIN IF THEY DO THIS TO THE CUSTOMERS. I WILL NOT ALLOW COMPANIES TO SCREW US OVER. I expect to get mine RMA'd with the PROPER firmware and NAND chips.

Please understand that all V300 drives do not show the same results with different benchmarking utilities, such as Crystal Disk Mark. We designed the V300 to be a great entry level drive with a good mix of price and performance. To do that we source both synchronous and asynchronous NAND flash components for the V300 from various manufacturers. This in turn creates a delta in performance from build to build, while all meet our baseline fresh-out-of-box spec of 450-450MB/s in ATTO, some may exceed. All Kingston SSDs go through a rigorous qualification process which begins with qualifying the NAND flash components we use to ensure a high quality product.
