Great HTPC board 02/04/2014
Excellent HTPC motherboard. I did have trouble with some Linux distros (Debian Wheezy couldn't see the NIC) but upon installing Debian Jessie everything fixed itself.
It doesn't have any trouble playing any video with the proprietary AMD driver but I noticed that mpv was using close to 100% of one of the cores with an h264. It still played the video with no problem but I got vaapi going just in case I run into issues later on. It worked (CPU usage went from 100 to 30) but I turned it off because faces turned blue. :( That's not the MBs fault I don't think. Maybe things will be better once the open-source driver supports the 8210. Or maybe I did something wrong: Linux video is a confusing beast to me. :)
And it can do all this while running sabnzbd, deluged, lighttpd, smbd, nfs and a qemu virtual machine.
I bought it last month when it cost $10 more BUT I bought a video card at the same time that cost $30 less than it does now so I guess I can't complain.
