I have owned this cpu for over a year now with an overclock of 4.5Ghz @ only 1.26v. Runs at 50c Max w/ my corsair H110 on Prime95 Blend torture runs 25 hrs straight.
-Does very well in games
-Overclocking is amazing
-Runs very cool and uses low power
-Keeps up with current CPUs in today's market
-Should be able to keep this one for a while
My only con is that it does not support PCI-E 3.0. However, I have not seen any convincing benchmarks to show any real benefits of PCI-E 3.0 over 2.0 yet. Even w/ my GTX 780 I still get really great FPS in games.
This is probably the best and most long term cpu I've ever owned. This was definitely worth the price I paid 2 years ago (around $220 I think). I'm planning on keeping this for a while.
