This review is from: Noctua NH-U14S 140mm SSO2-Bearing (Self-stabilising oil-presure bearing) CPU Cooler
I can not praise Noctua enough... Firstly, let's just get performance out of the way. It's awesome, it matches any close-loop water cooler's temps, but does it quietly, and if you're like me, having water in my $3000 system really just isn't something I'm feeling.
I don't want to start a debate or knock anyone's preferences, I just don't understand watercooling, I think it is more of a fad than a practical technology, but when and if it improves I'll open my mind a bit. I'm not saying that professional water-cooling set ups aren't more effective, but it's not practical for the price, and especially for the risk.
The NH-U14S is what you get when you don't want to have RAM incompatibilities with giant coolers. It keeps the CPU nice and cool around 32-33c and is QUIET, like a ninja.
75 bucks man, no risk of water on your gear (think about that for a minute)......
Noctua colors, which you will learn to love the more you experience the quality of their products.
