Good Deal - Biostar = Good 04/15/2014
This review is from: BIOSTAR A780L3C AM3 Micro ATX AMD Motherboard
Good Low Cost Motherboard - Built this system with good used parts Athlon x2 215 2.7Ghz CPU, 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz RAM, 160GB SATA Laptop HDD Dual-boot Linux Mint 16 & Windows XP Pro SP3, and 2 x DVD-RW drives ( 1 x IDE & 1 x SATA ) It was nice that this board still has IDE port to support use of good used parts in more modern build. There are times when IDE drive communications are plenty or you want to use an older DVD Burner that is IDE such as myself with my build.
Works flawless at converting my raw unencoded video game gameplay videos that are up to 50GB in size down to 1GB or 2GB in size with Virtual Dub.
Added cross over cable between this system and gaming system to send large videos from fraps over to this system to process and encode to smaller AVI format and then post to youtube etc.
Another great Biostar motherboard. My 12th Biostar motherboard purchase in 5 years, since I also build computers for people and use Biostar for low cost reliable builds.
USB Ports on the Motherboard may conflict with some video card installations, however the GeForce GT430 ( smaller video card ) had no troubles.
Wish it came with 2 x PCI slots, but able to get by on 1.
Wish it was Socket AM2+ instead of AM3 as for if it was AM2+ I would have bought 2 of these to put an older Socket AM2 Dual-Core CPU back into operation, since AM2+ supports AM2 and most AM3 CPU's that are quadcore or lesser.
