This review is from: Newark Raspberry Pi Model B RASPBRRY-PCBA512 Motherboard/CPU/VGA Combo Broadcom BCM2835 700MHz ARM1176JZFS
Pros:
-Tiny size
-Great performance for the price
-Versatile
-Great learning tool
-Fun to experiment with
I have rarely been as happy with a purchase as I am with this one. This thing is just amazing for what it costs. I can stream video off my external hard drive with no issues at all, making this an amazing mini media device. Cases for it can be found for less than $5 or made out of just about anything if you like to make custom cases. Has a lot of potential for experimenting with. Just looking around online can give you a ton of ideas to try to do with a Raspberry Pi.
Cons:
While this isn't by any means hard to figure out, it certainly can be a lot to take in when trying to learn new things on it. There are tutorials for most anything you could want to do with it online. As long as you are willing to research some, it is amazing. However if you are not willing to research much, I could see this becoming a frustrating device to figure out.
Overall Review:
Including the Pi itself, a case, an SD card, and a couple USB controllers, I spent a total of $65 getting a great functional home media device. It would be very easy to swap the SD card with another and give it a whole new purpose.
