Ok @ $130, poor white detail/viewing angles 07/05/2014
Large 24" screen
Built in speakers (having used, but still nice option)
No dead pixels, light bleed, or clouding.
Smooth game play, no noticeable ghosting or input lag.
Night scenes look great compared to my IPS monitors. The night scenes on this thing almost neted it a extra star... Arma 3 at night looks amazing.
Very poor viewing angles. Serious, if I move at all from the center the colors get off bad. I know this is a TN panel issue, but my ol'lady has a Acer TN panel that I paid $100 for that doesn't have this problem.
Poor white detail. I'm not the best calibrator out there, but I was not able to get this monitor properly calibrated for white. I wasn't able to properly set up for a "worst case" setting. At minimum you're supposed to be able to see 223-234 on the set up image. This monitor was only able to do 224 - 234... (blacks didn't have this issue)
I wanted to give this monitor a 4/5 because of the price I paid ($130), however I'm sure many reading this will end up paying the suggested price of $150. At $150 this is a panel that has poor viewing angles and white details. I can tell you from personal experience with other products that you can do better in the price range.
If you're the type of user that will bust out calibration software you may not be happy with the end results.
*I'm not sure how a monitor was put out in this day and age with the viewing angles this thing has.
*I'm not great at calibrating. I'm sure someone with proper equipment could do a lot more with this monitor then I can.
2/5 > $150
***Dark scenes look great on this monitor. It almost makes up for some of it other flaws... Almost.
