Bought two of these. Very crisp image, great colors, the glossy surface is barely noticeable so long as you don't have any bright sources of light behind you and the contrast is perfect right out of the box. Base is stable, doesn't wobble at the slightest movement of the desk as some other monitors do. Inclusion of cables for every supported video input is really handy.
IPS viewing angle doesn't really live up to the hype. Looking at the screen straight-on (90 degrees), there is a noticeable difference in contrast between the top and bottom halves of the screen. It's worse than the TN-panel I replaced. Text is a bit harder to read and colors are dimmed on the bottom half.
Image is very dark immediately after waking from standby and it takes a good 30-60 minutes before brightness reaches maximum. Especially obvious if you have two of these side-by-side.
Buttons along the bottom of the monitor are pretty stiff, to the point of having to hold onto the top of the screen in order to properly actuate them. You'll rarely be using these buttons, so minor detail.
Inexpensive IPS monitor - you get what you pay for. Not the best out there but it does a fine job for gaming and browsing. Avoid if you absolutely need fidelity.
