2 out of 5 eggs Mediocre product at most. Dead pixel, laggs, finger prints all over the device from 1st use... 07/19/2016

This review is from: Lenovo Flex 3 80R3000WUS Ultrabook Intel Core i5 6200U (2.30 GHz) 500 GB HDD 8 GB SSHD Intel HD Graphics 520 Shared memory 14" Touchscreen Windows 10 Home

Pros:

- Price (can't beat the price when on sale - got it for 4-9-0)
- 14" + IPS FHD Touch screen
- Latest core i5 (6 gen)
- Metal finish (also a con, see below)
- (500+8) GB SSHD better than HDD (at least on paper)

Cons:

#1: Dead pixel was right in the middle, closer to the top edge of the screen. This single issue was enough for me to return it.
#2: Finger prints all over the device, including back of the screen, screen itself, keyboard panel and yes, keys itself, even though they made from plastic! From the first use it looked like I have been using it for years! (and yes, my hands were clean)! Metallic finish is nice, but very unpractical (unless you want to clean it after each use).
#3: Even though it is SSHD with windows 10 the browser scrolling was laggy and sometimes I had to scroll multiple times to get an input from touch pad. May be it was a touch pad issue and I could play with drivers to fix it, but the first 2 issues was already enough for returning it.

Overall Review:

Considering all the issues mentioned, I won't recommend buying this Lenovo. I returned mine. Cudos to Newegg. They were great accepting the return without a hassle and refunding promptly.
Also it might be subjective, but 14" FHD resolution display was kinda an overkill–could be more compact in smaller form factors, unless you like/need everything bigger on the screen. I personally found 13.3" form factor much more suitable for FHD resolutions. Try Acer Aspire R 13 - Great machine, very fast and superior quality build (bought it from their website as a replacement for this Lenovo for the same price around 600)!
