I ordered a refurbished phone that had a sticker on the box stating that the phone was "Refurbished - Inspected and like new." This does not describe the phone I received. It should have been running Windows Phone 8.1 Update 2 as the operating system. Instead, it was running Windows 10 Insider Preview indicating that the phone had not actually been reset with factory software, but I was able to do this myself with Windows Phone Recovery Tool from my PC.

The rear housing/battery cover also had a noticeable scratch about 1 cm long near the rear camera. It doesn't affect the functions, but it is still something that negates the "like new" description.

On the positive, the phone arrived very quickly and was a decent price even if it would have been sold as "used" instead of "refurbished." I have contacted the seller about misrepresenting what is considered "refurbished" with no response yet. Their refurbishing does not appear to have been officially done by the manufacturer.

Rating + 1 Buyer Beware!

Stay as far away from this seller as possible. Seller sent me wrong item and refuses to answer any emails that I have sent to them for a replacement.

Now my order history shows the item that I received and NOT the item that I had ordered. Very unresponsive to any communication including emails and phone calls to number listed for seller. Newegg has not been of any help in this matter either.

Would like to get the item that i had shipped overnight and not the item that I currently have. This has been going on for over a week now.

Rating + 5 SALETAGZ, almost perfect

The seller answered a question ahead of the purchase quickly and completely. The purchase was as expected -- all new, with everything, in good box. The only slight annoyance is that the phone charger is for UK plugs, but the seller included the adapter for US plugs in the box. Since I've lived in Europe, I'm used to using such adapters. I would buy from the seller again, excellent price, good service.

I bought a Sony XPERIA Z3 Compact D5833 16GB Unlocked Internatioanl Model GREEN smartphone for this vendor. In the product overview it states: "This model is contract free and is compatible with all GSM networks around the world!"

However it only works on TMobile/Ting in 2G (voice and SMS); no data. Who buys a smartphone for SMS and voice only? I found this out when I signed up with Ting.

The vendor issued a refund promptly LESS A 15% RESTOCKING FEE. Working with NewEgg support which email the vendor twice didn't get me a full refund.

As of today, NewEgg promised to refund me the 15% ($59) restocking fee. Kudos to NewEgg.

Stay away from this vendor!
