Did not expect to receive the refurbed chromebook with a cracked cover and a cheaply spliced power cable. The item description should include a better description of the remaining damaged condition you are going to receive.

Very upset with newegg

I recently purchased Refurbished: Apple iMac MK442LL/A 21.5" Intel Core i5-5575R X4 2.8GHz 8GB 1TB, Silver. This was suppose to be late 2015 model but it ended up being 2013 the models did not match. I immediately returned this item and was suppose to receive my refund within 2-5 business days and today makes a week. In addition I checked the tracking and it confirms it was delivered back to newegg but when I called into their phone line to check the status of the return their system says that the return has not been received yet smh this is unacceptable. Will never order from them again and you can't call in and speak to anyone because the hold time says 40 min and you sign up for a call back and after an hour still no return call, unbelievable

Item arrived scuffed, with tape residue and lacking a power cord. It is functional but certainly not in like new condition and the lack of a power cable is annoying. You can use the cable from the laptop but if you want to travel with the laptop, it’s inconvenient to detach the cable from the dock

Product did not arrive with the correct operating system, but the seller was quick to acknowledge the problem and supply an acceptable fix. Very responsive and helpful with the process. Would buy from again.

Failed to stand behind 30 Day warranty POOR/ABSENT Customer Service

Please take my experience with this seller into serious consideration before you decide to do business with Elem Technology. I purchased a MacBook Pro 15" Late 2013 model Class A rated used computer. I thought I did everything possible to knowledge myself before making the purchase of a used computer. I spent $725 for the computer. I received my computer in acceptable timing. For a few days the computer had no issues. I started having a problem during log in. I have used my same password for my login for years and have never had any problem remembering it since it is my daughters birthday. The MacBook told me that it was incorrect. I couldn't access my files because the File Vault was on. I could not reset the password either. I contacted the seller immediately. From the start, the seller was arrogant and treated me like I was an idiot who had no business on a computer. He sent me an email with links to where I could purchase a recovery disc because he would not provide me with one, which I did and spent $145 on this. He stated if I returned the computer he would use a recovery disc and sale it to someone else anyway. So I felt I should try it and avoid the hassle of shipping it back since he made it sound so simple. I had to wait for the disc to arrive via snail mail. (another week without computer) Periodically while I waited for the disc to arrive I would try to login again. Then to my surprise, I used the same password as I always use and it worked. File Vault was off and it allowed me to almost login, except it started giving error messages that the HD could not be located. I immediately called him and told him that it was not a password issue but a HD issue. He assured me that the recovery disc would be the answer. Then when I received the disc I used it and it gave me the same message CANNOT LOCATE HD. I called NEWEGG and told them I wanted to return the item. They issued an RMA and contacted the seller to give me the return shipment label in which he stated in his email that he would not provide it because I couldn't remember my password. Newegg issued the shipment label anyway. As per instructed, I included my accessories and bubble wrapped in the same box that it arrived in. Still well with in my 30 day warranty with many days to spare, a week and a half goes by and I checked back periodically on my account page checking status and nothing! Newegg finally contacted the seller and he had received it over a week and a half earlier. He sent me an email after he was contacted stating that they DO NOT REFUND OR REPLACE COMPUTERS THAT WERE INTENTIONALLY DESTROYED BY THE CUSTOMER. After reading over the fine print on warranty, the only way he could deny a replacement or refund is if the used computer had damage. On the bottom of this used computer there was a scratch by one of the screw holes. I did not ever attempt to unscrew any screws. The scratch was there when I purchased it I assume or he did it when he sat on it for a week and a half. I never noticed it because it was used and it wouldn't have bothered me on the bottom of the computer. So due to this he based the denial for replacement and shipped the computer back to me with no explanation as to what is wrong with the computer. No options for resolving the problem. The computer was still powered up in box and he didn't even bother securing the bubble wrap which was squished down on the bottom of box. the computer was shipped in a loose box and he didn't even return my accessories that I originally purchased with computer. He never even tried to help and make it right. Thankfully, I purchased a separate warranty at time of purchase and Newegg made contact with them and they will help me. Now in order for me to ship to the warranty company, I will have to purchase an additional adapter for computer before I can ship to them which is over $80. If I can save anyone the heartache and headache sharing this it will be worth the time it took to type this and relive this torment of the past 6 weeks. He was very aware he failed to place my accessories in box and that is probably why he left it powered up. Hoping that it would use down the battery. Shame on you Elem Tech Karma is a real thing. I will be hiring a consumer attorney and will share my issue on every platform that I can and I am hoping to find others that share a complaint with this seller as well. You could have and should have done the right thing!

I bought this laptop for my mother-in-law to replace her aging Asus laptop. I've used a similar model before. Very impressive specs. Nice screen, compact design. Mouse is a little finicky; I recommend using an external mouse if you have one. I did have an issues enabling the Wifi on the laptop. For some reason, Wifi wasn't enabled by default. I tried everything to enable the Wifi. Finally in frustration, I said yes when the Windows troubleshooting modal came up, and that fixed it.

Grade B item was not fully functional

Only 1 of the 6 USB ports worked on this unit. Grade B is advertised as cosmetic issues, but functionally sound.

I apologize for the problem you are having but you must be commenting on the wrong order. The item that you ordered from us only has 2 USB ports.

The item was listed as available on Newegg but apparently that was an error. They did upgrade RAM for the error. I ordered the Mac 12/17/17 paid for expedited shipping and did not receive the item until 1/2/18. Yes the unit is a refurb, but it was dented in many places and missing screws. I would not order from them again.

Ordered a refurbished Xbox Elite Controller. The primary issue was that the menu button (three lines button) did not function on two Xbox's and a PC. The controller had also not been cleaned and had hand grime filling all the crevices and thumb sticks. A refurbished controller should at least work and be cleaned as best as possible. However, they did refund the entire purchase price, and PayPal refunded my return shipping cost, so I did not loose money in the endeavor. Had the controller at least functioned, I would given 4 eggs and not have returned the item. If it had also been cleaned, I would give 5 eggs. Overall not a negative experience, just a defective and dirty example was delivered to me.
