Unacceptable tracking, communication, and delivery of product

I do not recommend doing business with GEMVI or New Egg. The product by GEMVI was ordered in early December for Christmas delivery, and I was notified as of December 5th the status of the delivery was "In Process." There were no further updates nor communication about the delivery since then. When I complained to New Egg on December 29th I was told that I could not file a claim until I waited two more days. The agent also stated that "Once the item is received we can submit a credit for the shipping since it was delayed." Since it was now four days after Christmas and there had been no change in the shipping status, I asked for a refund. The agent chatted "Okay you can contact us back tomorrow if you'd like to see IF WE CAN FILE THE CLAIM [my capitalization]." I asked to chat with a supervisor. The supervisor advised the agent "to set up the claim. i sent the email to the seller for the refund. im also going to send you an email if the seller does not get in contact with you within 2 bus days follow those steps so our marketplace team can issue the refund for you." It is now Jan 4th and I have not heard anything more from New Egg. This is inexcusable customer service.

Can’t effectively track a late package

According to your website when ordered, my item should have need here on 10/28 at the latest. It is now 10/30 and I have no idea where my item is as your website only says “in transit” with no details. I am very disappointed with the tracking system and it’s lack of details. I do not know if this item is as it was described, as I have yet to receive it.
