Zack Radio Supply was started in 1931 by V.N. (Zack) Zachariah, a Lebanese Immigrant, during the heart of the depression. Zack's business flourished selling products from his storefront location on Market Street in San Francisco. Zack at that time was selling MRO (Maintenance, Repair, & Operations) products. In 1942 he sold many products to the military and "Radio Products" gave way to "Electronics" and the name of the company was changed. In 1946 Zack began focusing on Sales to the Broadcast field and shortly thereafter to Television Stations. A few years later, sales were expanded to the OEM Industrial Market Customer.

Zack's customers were the who's who of The Electronics Industry. Some of the notable customers included Mr. Dave Hewlett, Dalmo Victor, Steve Jobs, & Steve Wozniak. Stephen Barncard the famous record producer/engineer came to Zack Electronics regularly and bought RCA knobs and supplies to build the sound studio for the Grateful Dead (at Bob Weir’s Home in Mill Valley) and helped Jerry Garcia & Crosby, Stills & Nash find some of the electronics they needed from Zack to be used to advance their music careers.

Zack expanded & contracted over time and had locations in Palo Alto, Sacramento, Monterey, San Jose, Phoenix, Chicago, and Los Angeles.

Zack retired in 1987 and at that time the company was purchased by an investor group led by Michael La Porte, an executive of Belden Electronics. A few years later in 1993, Zack Electronics & Data Communications was sold to Dennis Awad, President of Tele-Com Products, Inc., a successful entrepreneur, who had grown his own business since 1977 from his parents garage.

Returns Policy

A return authorization request may be made for merchandise purchased within the last 30 days. You can download a copy of the RMA - Return Authorization Form here from our site. Merchandise in the original, unopened manufacturer’s package that is undamaged may be returned within 5 days of receipt without a restocking charge. Otherwise, merchandise must be returned PREPAID via an insured service within 30 days from date of receipt and is subject to a 15% inspection & restocking charge (except in-warranty defective merchandise or merchandise shipped in error by Zack). Shipping & handling charges are not refundable. All returned merchandise must be in resellable condition & include all documentation, manuals, warranty cards, accessories etc. If any of these items are compromised, missing or lost, we reserve the right to refuse the return or apply a restocking fee above the standard percentage charge. Any returns after 30 days are subject to refusal.

Non-stock / Special order or Made to Order items or custom items are NCNR non-cancelable or returnable. Copyrighted materials: Books, pre-recorded tapes / CD / DVD, forms and software.


Bulk Wire & Cable, Heat Shrink or other product Cut to Order by the foot.


Bulbs / Lamps, chemicals, expendable batteries or items that show use.


Microphones, headphones or any item that has contact with ears / eyes or mouth.


TV’s / Combos or LCD / Plasma displays, Monitors, Security Systems.


Underwater equipment that has been submerged.


Items that are over 30 days from date of acceptance / delivery.


Items not in original packaging. (Blister packed original factory product boxes).


Manufacturer Direct Drop-Shipped items, if deemed returnable by our returns department, will be subject to the vendor’s restocking fees in addition to Zacks fees.


Freight intensive or truck freight items that have been drop shipped to you.



All returns may be subject to a minimum 15% inspection & restocking charge (except for in-warranty defective merchandise or merchandise shipped in error by Zack).



Shipping and handling charges incurred by any returned item are not refundable.



All returned merchandise must include all blank documentation, manuals, warranty cards, literature, accessories etc. If any of these items are compromised, missing or lost, we reserve the right to refuse the return. There may also be a restocking charge up and above the standard percentage charge.



All returned merchandise must be re-packaged as "a box within a box." Please do not ship your return in the original manufacturer product boxes as the primary packaging. Boxes can be marred and damaged, which will degrade the condition of the box and will seriously affect its restocking / resale value.



Zack will make every attempt to assist you if a product you've purchased from us has failed or needs repair. Manufacturers will honor their warranties and most merchandise should be sent back directly to the respective manufacturer for repair, replacement or service. We do not provide emergency loaner or replacement items at no charge.



Please allow ample time for processing your return (typically your next credit card statement). If you have any questions regarding the status of a return & or the eligibility of an item you wish to return, feel free to call our customer service department.

Return Instruction

1. Log onto your Newegg.com account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
