Pros: I really like the size and weight for a gaming laptop since I do a fair amount of traveling and carrying a boat anchor can be tough around the airport.
The screen is great with fast refresh rate of 240 hz and fast response time of 3ms. The color gamut is very good as well.
Full size keyboard feels good and like the RGB light.
The 2070 max Q performs well about the middle of the pack though not the fastest in it's class, I believe it's due to the size of the laptop while managing the heat.
Turbo button is nice and does boost FPS in games a bit and cools the laptop.
The overall look and feel is premium.
Cons: Not Acer's fault but can't under volt due to Intel's CPU vulnerability.
This laptop gets toasty in heavy gaming specially on the right side of the track pad.
Pushing the Turbo button does help cool the laptop but it sounds like a vacuum cleaner. May need to use noise cancelling headphones if you want to game with Turbo enabled.
Overall Review: For the price it's overall a nice gaming laptop for it's size and weight if that's important to you. If size and weight is not important, there are better options.
I've been mainly playing MS flight Simulator 2020 which is very demanding and after tweaking some settings in Ultra, I was able to get constant 30 fps in NYC. While 40-45 fps in the rest of the game.
Pros: Thin and amazing performance
Cons: Runs extremely hot
Overall Review: I recommend for anyone wanting to game on the go, if you could take a cooling off with you it would make this laptop a whole lot more enjoyable, other than that it’s super easy to upgrade ram and storage, as soon as I got it I installed two brand new 1TB M.2 NVME SSD and it runs perfect. Just like my set up at home but in my back pack lol
-anti reflective screen
Cons: -finger print magnet
- bloat ware
-Webcam is meh
-heavy power brick
-gets heated up fast by just being switched on without undervolting so undervolting is a must
Overall Review: Quite light weight for a gaming laptop, currently playing cyberpunk with ray tracing off ,getting more than 60fps at ultra at least that’s what Xbox game bar says , temps go up to 90 but with throttle stop it can be maintained below 80 tried playing cyberpunk without throttle stop after a while system shutdown abruptly, turbo boost button being available is also a plus fans get loud at max like can be heard in the neighboring rooms but no big deal if wearing headphones value for money when discounted that is when I ordered, can be undervolted if bios version is 1.06 and below
Overall Review: Good for price
Pros: Price to performance ratio
Speed is good
Pretty light weight
Screen resolution is fantastic
Cons: When overclocked very loud
Overall Review: So far so good. I hope that it lives up to expectations.
Pros: - Fast start-up
- Fast loading games and programs
- Temperature Control with the Aeroblade is amazing
- Clean and clear display with the NVidia GEForce RTX card.
- Great for music production. (Using Cubase Latest Addition)
Cons: - Only 1 USB-C Port (Will need a Docking Station)
Overall Review: I would recommend this to anyone who needs a kick *$$ machine to do the work.
I use it for a few games and to do Mobile Recording of bands and podcasts and it works so well.
No matter what I try to do with it, it just works fast and smoothly. The Fans, when turned up too high, make a lot of noise, but as long as I am not recording, they do not bother me. I turn them down to normal if I am recording. No biggie.
I truly enjoy this laptop and I think you would too. This si the best ACER product I have ever had.
I have another Acer I use as a paperweight. I was skeptical about purchasing another ACER but so glad I did.
Overall Review: Very reliable and safe with great performance. The laptop is very sturdy!
Pros: NVidia 2070+
Cons: Battery life
Overall Review: great laptop but the battery is not good enough
