Well I purchased this laptop for my girlfriend and she was happy with the colors.  I would say visit acer website to check but from what I saw this is the only color it is offered in.  Nevertheless this is a great laptop with fairly mid range components in it.  So, its a good choice even if the color is a champagne.

I'm sure that there are 3rd party dealers that offer skins for this which I would assume is really the only way to mask this laptops factory color.

Question 2

Is this a hybrid SSD? Also, how are the viewing angles on the display?

Hey Dean.  I bought this computer for my girlfriend a few months ago.  It's a great computer but there is one major flaw (well a few but one that makes it or breaks it).  The mobo only has a limited capacity for RAM (already did a lot of research).  The 4 gb of ram is a huge bottleneck for this computer and is not able to be upgraded.  So far as the HDD, this is a mechanical hd.  The price would be way higher if this was an SSD.  This laptop would be great for up and coming computer users but for the everyday adult user, not so much.  My gf really is disappointed with the performance issues and uses my gaming pc all the time bc the laptop is mind numbingly slow.

My suggestion if your going with acer is the Acer Aspire v3-572g-54L9 / with I5 (1.7 GHz) / 8 gb ram / 1 TB HDD.  Would recommend as well to purchase with windows 7 (64)bit.  Believe me that extra 100$ with the higher grade CPU, ram, and 1 TB of HDD volume will make this a more wise decision for a laptop that will last longer ( because you might throw the s3 at the wall ).  Acer I believe has stopped selling the s3 that newegg offers as well.

What is the speed of the hard-drive?  Is it 7200?

What is the actual battery life?

I get about 3.5 hours on it with multiple Firefox windows open. I use it for work, so I often have another work program open as well.
