does this laptop have a dvd player in it?

No, I looked for a laptop with a dvd player in it and couldn't find one.  Maybe it's a weight issue, I don't know.  You will have to buy an external one.  At least they are pretty cheap,  I think I paid $20 for mine.  It's a nice laptop though and I'm happy with it.

Does this laptop have an optical drive, for CD's and DVD's?

No, it doesn't. I think if you need the drive for CD or DVD, you can buy an external device.

No it does not.  There appears to be a cut out for one, but I do not know if there are any drives that fit it.

External USB CD/DVD is all you'll need however, and they are relatively cheap.

does this have DVD/CD slot ?

It has a slot, covered with a piece of plastic. I am not sure, though, if there are any connectors inside this slot that would allow you to pop in a dvd driver - there does not seem to be a simple way to take off the plastic cover to take a look.

No, unfortunately it doesn't. I thought it did when I bought it because it looks like there's in the picture.

Will my HP Photosmart C5180 printer be compatible?  Also, does it have input for my camera card?

Yes to both. But go to HP and get the ' Full function software' for the printer. With the latest HP software rather than the Win update drivers you will have a much better experience. The computer itself is another issue. The computer is fast once it gets going but it is  little slow to boot and feels cheap. The video is slow and has a very low viewing angle.  It seems to be a combination of new and old technology. Over all I am pleased with it but don't expect to set any records with it.

No, it doesn't, but if you have to have a DVD drive then look for a different laptop, but for the money, it works quite well, also, I contacted Acer to see if I can install one, but I was told it's not available for this model, hope that helps!

No it does not have a DVD at all.

You can hookup an external DVD thru the USB port for the same functionality.

I had a USB to IDE/SATA adapter and hooked it up to a spare DVD from an old Desktop and it worked fine.

is this laptop touchscreen?

no, it is not a touch screen. But having tried the touchscreen widows 8, I prefer a non-touch screen. It's easy to use the mousepad control to perform any function you would do with touch in windows 8. 
 Side note: If you purchase this laptop, DO NOT update to windows 8.1. Your computer will not function without intensive fixes and it will never be quite the same, and you cannot uninstall the update. DON'T UPDATE to 8.1.
