Yes, the OS (Windows 8) is installed on the SSD. Be aware that the default for installing other software is also on the SSD. You may want to redirect some installs to the larger drive.

How is this computer when it isn't plugged in when you play steam games like assassins creed?

My computer has been in the shop three times. But for the month and a half that it actually has worked. It runs just as good on the battery as it does plugged-in. I just had to change the settings to where it favored performance over battery life.

I play Lord of the Rings online. But I haven't played anything else on it except for LOTRO, and it runs smoothly.

How well do Steam games run on this computer when it isn't plugged in? Do any games lag when it isn't plugged in?

Yes there is a ton of lag lol. It depends on your settings and the game. It can play games ok without power but you really need to plug it in for it to be at its best and if you want to play for more than an hour or two.

I wanted to know if there was a separated "click" bar on the touch pad or if there was one at all? It looks like it's all touchpad.
