Is the screen flicker free and how is the brightness?

I've had and been using this laptop for about 3 weeks, and have not experienced flicker with the screen. I find the screen to be just right regarding brightness and am able to adjust it simply as needed via the keyboard shortcut. I am really satisfied with this laptop.

Is the fan noise loud under low or medium performance?

Fan noise is low. However, you can listen to some winding at times where the a giving process is been performed. Because it is an SSD most of the noise of this machine is fairly low. Both the winding and fan noise occurs when starting programs for the most part.

is there room inside the laptop to add an ssd?

I do not believe so. The laptop already has a SSD which is of the M.2 form factor.

Does anyone the difference between this one and the Acer Laptop Swift 3 SF314-54-56L8? They have the same specifications except weight.

Hey Jason, I had the same question, so I checked on Acer's webpage and it seems to be that the difference is in the Wireless LAN Standar. This computer has the standart IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac whilst the 56L8 has IEEE 802.11ac
