Pros: ~Phenom II X4 (Quad Core), 6GB DDR3 (can be bumped to 16GB), quiet, 1TB HD (nice!), mATX motherboard which supports ATI's Hybrid CrossFireX technology and DirectX 10, as well as HDMI output...very expandable for a smallish MB
Cons: ~No connectivity with Interwebz!...worked long enough to download 32 Win7 updates but then conked. I thought it was my DSL service so I phoned for a housecall from U-Verse support. AT&T Techie came next day because I thought it was my ATT DSL gateway, but after new cords and troubleshooting... looks like bad ethernet...Will get the Acer locally serviced because the hassle of RMA for this is not worth it...explains only 4 eggs. ~Have to burn your own restart disks...Man, even those old Pentium clones had factory restarts included...Why can't we still get a Window disk included?!?
Overall Review: I have always been an AMD guy, from Pentium 1 & 2 clones to my five year old Gateway Athlon 64, which is now growing "long in the tooth". It has had all the upgrades it can muster (max RAM/new power supply/video cards, SB audigy, etc) With the minimal requirements of all the new games coming out, I realized it was time for an upgrade. This system has the ability to expand at least a year or two...It comes with a 300W PSU, so I swapped that out immediately with a Rosewell 530W...ready for the next future ex-video card
