Intelligent SLC caching algorithms allow NAND flash memory to operate in SLC (single-level cell) mode on-demand to boost SSD read/write up to 560MB/s and 510MB/s (240GB and 480GB models). Boosting performance without increasing cost further, SP550 speeds up everyday tasks such as web-surfing, email, social media, video streaming and gaming.

Advanced LDPC (Low Density Parity Check Code) error correcting prevents data errors and corruption, ensuring consistent reliability with enhanced data protection and longer-lasting durability than comparable products without LDPC.

Total bytes written or TBW refers to the number of times an SSD can write its entire capacity in one lifespan - an indication of durability. SP550's TBW rating outranks comparable models for longer-lasting service life.
SP550 supports DEVSLP (Device Sleep) technology for improved energy efficiency, resulting in lower power consumption and operating cost as well as extended battery life.
SP550 is just 7mm thick - an easy fit even for super-thin Ultrabooks. A 2.5mm spacer is included for use in 9.5mm drive bays, compatible with virtually every notebook. It is easier than ever to replace mechanical hard drive and upgrade to SP550 SSD for its high performance, low power consumption and virtually silent operation.
ADATA's free SSD Toolbox software suite makes it easy to quickly and conveniently configure, optimize, and monitor SP550 performance, from overall status to specific drive health and lifespan info.
Get assigned drive information including capacity, used space on drive, drive temperature, drive health, and lifespan of drive.
Two options: Quick Diagnostics, which will run basic tests on free space of the selected drive, and Full Diagnostics, which runs a read test on all used space of the selected drive.
SSD utilities include Security Erase, Firmware update, SSD Toolbox upgrade, and export log.
SSD Optimization provides TRIM service on free space of drive. OS Optimization provides simple settings SSD optimization.
Displays current system information.
Acronis True Image HD software facilitates quick and easy transfer of all files and programs to the new solid state drive.
Supports the data backup of external hard drives
The program supports external disk connections.
Easy and rapid recovery & backup
The previous disk's contents are copied in full, including all data, installed programs, and personal settings. It eliminates the time consuming process of manually copying data, reinstalling software and add-ons, and resetting your system's personal preferences.

Pros:
- cheap
- 3 year warranty
Cons: - half of purchased drives failed
Overall Review: I bought 4 of these drives. Currently two are still functional. One drive was wonky right from the start and is now being returned. the other drive worked OK for about two years although i would get mysterious blue screens every few weeks.
Pros: This SSD worked great for the first 11 months.
Cons:
After 11 months my computer began to get various errors and would freeze once per day for 10-15 minutes at a time. A week after the SSD's anniversary, the computer froze and never recovered. After a force restart, the SSD wouldn't boot. I spent 6 hours trying to fix the SSD. It didn't appear in BIOS no matter which SATA and power cables were connected, and didn't appear in the file tree after I booted on Linux from a USB stick. I tried power cycling the SSD itself twice with no effect. RIP
I was really hoping this SSD would last longer than a year.
Pros: 240 gb for 60$
Cons:
Died in less than a year. Caused blue screens. Computer works with other boot drives.
PLEASE don't use this as a boot drive, don't buy it.
Pros:
Fast
Affordable
Been going strong for over a year now with not a single problem
Cons: It's not the fastest SSD out there but then again it's not an M.2 format
Pros: Runs Win10 and Solidworks faster than any HDD, just as to be expected.
Cons: None
Pros: Like the title says, it is plenty fast for me. Sure, you'll get even faster speeds if you go for an NVME drive or something, but for the money, I think I can deal with slumming it up with 540MB/s read speeds.
Cons: The only issue I had is with the OS migration software they include for free: Acronis. It took me hours to finally get my Windows 10 installation over to the SSD, because even though my C drive was taking up less space than there is on the SSD, it would still tell me that the SSD had insufficient space. Turns out, I had to SHRINK my C drive partition to something smaller than 240GB for it to actually transfer. So keep that in mind if you get an SSD, whether it be this one, or another.
Pros: For the price, unbeatable. Stuck it in my 5 year old laptop as the HDD was slower than molasses in January. What an upgrade it is. Brought new life into the old system
Cons: Skeptical about the brand and price point.
Overall Review: Would not trust this SSD in your beloved gaming computer. I choose this because it was a low-risk high-reward solution for my laptop which has no valuable information on it if the SSD were to fail. At 5 years old, the laptop is at the end of its life anyway; this is just extending it for the time being.

Pros: It was cheap
It worked fine up until it died
Cons: It died
Even though it died within warranty the process was a headache and I'm unsure if its worth doing. The online rma process failed twice and I had to register with adata just to complete it. Then i get a form saying i have to mail it to an address in California which after checking would cost around 30 dollars cheapest. Pay a little more and get buy from a quality company.
