I am curious the pictures show the fan having nothing behind it other than a minimal frame to hold it is this true?

The fan Case is mounted to the main circuit broad by at lest 6-8 crews and is one piece and run almost the full length of the graphics.  In fact is back bone of the graphics card and makes this graphics card I have ever owned.  The fan case is not just something hanging on the back end of the graphics, the fan is mounted in the medal fame of the graphics card.  Look at the tilted picture of the card the metal fame runs full length if the card.  also, look at the back side picture all that black area on the rear of the card is that medal fame.  You not find a stronger built card. at lest I have never seen one.

Question 2

Does this workstation GPU work with the 3d program blender for GPU rendering? I know I asked this on the Vega GPU by AMD but im looking to get a smaller one first.

Yes it works nicely with Blender.  AMD even has a Render engine software that you can install in Blender to use instead of Cycles if you like.  The Plug in is called Radeon Pro Render and has some great Pro features.  This is a very good value workstation graphics card but while it works fine with most games it is not meant to compete with gaming cards - but is rock solid for my 3D workstation.

Inside the package box there is one Radeon Pro WX 7100 card, two DisplayPort to DVI adapters, and one accessory I don't know, is it some adapter? can you figure out what  it is, what it is for, and how can I install it?

If its on a PCI bracket I believe this is for 3D ... you can hook it up to 3D glasses so the "shutters" on each eye open in sync with the alternate left eye/right eye images being displayed. So ... if you don't have 3D glasses just put it aside as it is not required for normal 3D operation.

How much power is required to run it, will it work as a EGPU?

Not sure exactly what it is drawing, but I am running it in an Akito Node egpu unit without issues. The case is cut open for better airflow around the card, but power supply is unmodified.

What is the Double precision performance?

Accepted Answer

Double precision is an error checking protocol which makes sure your work is accurate. Gaming cards are not as precise can throw a drawing off by 200 picas or more which translates to a foot or more depending. Gamers do not care if the characters in their game are off, designers, engineers, architects who need to have an accurate plan do.

What is needed to connect 4 together?

To do crossfire, you need a motherboard that can handle it ie four 16x pci 2.0.  There are not any connectors that you need to put between them.  I currently just crossfire 2 cards
