Pros: Price - forty-nine dollars for a 64-bit 2.2GHz proc with full speed 512KB cache Speed - Don't let the 2.2GHz fool you, if you slap this on a good socket 754 board, you're going to get 95% of the speed of the 939 and AM2 users in pretty much everything OCability - Got it running at 2.6GHz at 37C, 2.8GHz at 43C, haven't gone any higher, cause, well, that's plenty

Cons: I guess if you consider it being Socket 754 a con, then there you go. OEM, so you takes your chances when it comes to installation and OC'ing. If you fry it up, you're stuck with CPU and chips, there's no warranty for sloppy and stupid.

Overall Review: This 3200+ is the end of an age for a fine generation of CPUs. The benefits of dual channel RAM and DDR2 are small, unnoticeable by the naked eye in most situations. Dual core is nice, but quad is where your next step should be. Until then, you're not going to regret paying less than half a benjamin for such a nice processor.

Pros: OEM and no bent pins! I have 2 boxes with this chip and the performance is excellent for a CPU in this price range - it's a dirt cheap upgrade that will handle anything the casual or even semi-power user would want. Power users looking for ultimate in speed won't be reading this anyway, but for the user who needs solid performance for a HTPC\PVR or occasional gaming rig this will do the job. With a decent card it runs most games quite well. I used a spare AMD fan\HS and it runs very cool even with a mild overclock. It might hit 40C under a Prime95 test.

Cons: None. I'm currently running 4 AMD rigs and have never had a single regret with my choice of CPU.

Overall Review: In case you missed it, 187 people mentioned 754 is a dead end - and it's certainly true, but today a 754 costs less and will last WAY longer than a tank of gas. And at this price you won't feel any guilt later on when you tear it down to make room for a fully loaded multi-core rig.

Pros: Paired with a Z@lman CNPS7700-CU cooler, 1x 120mm, & 4x 80mm case fans this thing idles @ 28C and it has never once exceeded 46C under full load...and that's OCed to 2.64GHz!! That's a 20% OC...20% more speed for free! Using 11x240MHz w/ 3x HT multi @ 2.64MHz, I'm 30 hours Prime95 stable. All benchmarks I have run at these speeds (PCMark05, Everest, Sandra) show this CPU to be running on par w/ the 3.6GHz Pentium D and right on the heels of the A64 X2 4200+

Overall Review: With a bachelors in computer science & having been a comp tech for over 9 years, I have owned, benched, OCed, & serviced literally thousands of processors. At only fifty-3 dollars, this one has by-far the most bang for the buck (in s754) & at this price range of any CPU I have yet encountered.

Pros: Took my temps down quickly, 59W is very efficient, gives me sse3 support but best of all its a venice core for 754, rare stuff.

Cons: I don't have enough money to buy everyone of them in stock

Overall Review: If you have an up to date 754 motherboard this chip is a no brainer, temps are low, venice core can easily overclock over 2.3ghz and this takes the wattage down some 30 watts verses the newcastle counterpart,which makes this part easy on your power bill!

Pros: Compared to my old Sempron, I'm getting 600 more Mhz and double the L2 cache for a significat, Newegg-censored percentace less. Sure, it doesn't come with a fan, but I don't care about that nonsense. I've got it clocked at 2.5Ghz(the max my motherboard allows) and it passed 20 hours of prime95.

Cons: Using the same 512mb of ram I had, I didn't notice much of a speed up in my system-intensive programs, like Civilization 4, but the ram is definitely the bottleneck there.

Overall Review: My hope from getting this is that my computer will be good enough for my purposes at least for a few more years than otherwise. I honestly don't consider this a massive upgrade from my Sempron 2800+, but then again, it is dirt cheap. If you're a super-genius like me and don't want to pay for a high-end processor, then you should definitely look into this.

Pros: This is a vast improvement form my AMD athlon 1.33mhz processor. Very fast, now I can play the newer games. Great service as well.

Pros: This processor has been performing flawlessly for me for over a year. It is in a Gigabyte K8NS Pro with 1.5 GB Ram running 32 bit XP.(all from NEW EGG!!) I am replacing a 3000+ 64 in one 64bit XP machine with the 3200+ will use the 3000+ for another machine I am upgrading from a 64 bit Sempron.So really, for the money, I am upgrading 2 computers. The 754 platform may be outdated in terms of cutting edge gaming but this will get me through to the era of reasonably priced dual cores in a year or so.

Cons: Not a single one.
