Pros: Finally a drop in place upgrade for my system that didn't require a bios update. Can't go wrong with this cpu and for the same cost and power consumption as many athlon 2 x4 cpu this one is a no brainier.
Cons: More than double the cost of my previous cpu however this one is brand new.
Overall Review: Had a bit of a surprise when it booted up with the same settings that I had applied to my 8250e which had the base clock set 285mhz and a slight bump on the voltage.
3990mhz on boot up what more can you say.
Pros: Fast and inexpensive. Overclocks easily. What more do you want?
Cons: Doesnt clean my gutters or mow my lawn...yet.
Overall Review: Along with a decent motherboard and a larger cooler I have this CPU overclocked to 3.5ghz. Stable and lovely!
Pros: I bought this CPU last June 2010 and it works great. After I bought this from Newegg the processor had dissappeared from the Newegg product listing, guess they could not get them in stock. However, I had this processor running everday since I installed it and it works like a champ. I'm running it with 8Gb Corsair DMS PC800 DDR2.
Pros: Great 4 core processor. Got it up to 3.5ghz no problem and unlocked the extra 2mb on the L3 cache. GREAT VALUE
Cons: Not hexacore?
Overall Review: Get a aftermarket CPU cooler for this.
Pros: Chip went right in, and made a vast diffrence to my old dual core. System speed and performance has skyrocketed all while still remaining very cool under stock heatsink and fan.
Pros: I use this in a gaming machine. Works great. Run's everything iv'e put to it smoothly and with extra power left over. I have yet to see it go over 30c. But it is OEM so i have after market cooling.
Pros: I got the OEM 820 for $104. Overclocked it right away with some artic silver and the Cooler Master Hyper 212, made 3.2 easily without messing with RAM, or vcore settings. Temperature hasn't made it past 50c under a full load.
Pros: Rock solid. I have been a die-hard Intel guy for years. This is the first AMD processor that I have purchased since my 386DX-40. I'm glad I was willing to give it a try.
