Pros: -Fast
-Cheap
- Support MSI B450 Tomahawk Non Max
-SAM is enable on B450
Cons: -Not delivered by Lisa Su herself
Overall Review: I upgraded from a 2600 with MSI B450 Tomahawk non Max. Flash the new Bios and it work perfectly out of the box. SAM was added into the bios feature so anyone with a B450/470 don't need to spend extra $$ on a new motherboard. The most impressive feature about this chip is their PBO 2 which undervolt and overclock as good as manually overclocking. The PBO that is feature in the Ryzen 5000 series are a lot better than the 3000 series according to various sources in google search lol. Highly recommend for anyone with older Zen and are looking to upgrade.

Check your bios!1/4/2021 6:13:07 PM
Overall Review: For those lucky enough to snag an AMD Ryzen 5000 series CPU right now at MSRP please check your bios version on your motherboard before first boot. First time I booted this up the motherboard wouldnt recognize the cpu. Luckily I had a 3600 to test the motherboard. It worked fine so I figured the bios hadnt been updated. I have the MSI X570 Unify for those that are curious and the bios version was from August of this year. Once I updated the bios everything ran fine. Hope this helps.
Pros: This is an amazing upgrade from my previous i7 3930k k build.16 Cores and 32 Threads of Awesome.Lighting fast boot time and handles everything you can throw at it with ease.
Cons: One of the more expensive options even at MSRP
Overall Review: 5950x is a high end processor with a lot of power. Loads and runs any application with ease. Load times are a thing of the past. Going from an old i7 to this monster 5950x was like going from a dial-up modem to 500 GB cable. Do you really need a 16 core 32 thread processor? Probably not.Do you want one, YES, YES YOU DO.

Great CPU12/2/2020 11:57:34 AM
Pros: Boosts to 4.85ghz
Improved frame times over 6700k in gaming
Cons: Runs a little warm, but was expected, idle between 35-40c with ambient 22c, using a large air cooler
Hits 77-80c under load
Overall Review: Upgrading from a 6700k, this was a great upgrade, would recommend.
Excellent CPU! Insane performance for gaming.1/6/2021 8:44:40 AM
Pros: - Big upgrade over zen 2
- Compatible with b450 motherboards after Bios update.
Cons: - None so far.
Overall Review: - This the best CPU you can get for gaming right now. If you can find it in stock grab it as soon as you can, you won't be disappointed.
Fantastic CPU for first AMD build11/28/2020 1:34:09 PM
Pros: - Hits 4.95GhZ with Ryzen auto-OC software, using Corsair H100i at 60C
- Civ 6 map load times are under 20 seconds
- Hardly breaks a sweat for most of my applications, and throttles itself quite effectively
Cons: - Civ 6 multiplayer is still laggy thanks to other players running on potatoes (single player AI turn time is insanely fast, however)
^ Obviously this is not a real con of the CPU
Overall Review: This was my first AMD build after ~15 years of Intel. Upgraded from the 6600k, and this thing is incredible. I was lucky and got one within a four minute window on November 6 (day after launch) before they sold out again. I haven't really put it through a rigorous test yet, but I'm confident it will destroy whatever games and A/V applications I throw at it.
Overall Review: I dont see what the fuss about heat is. I have a corsair h100i and this thing hasn't been over 66c even under heavy load. I had the Ryzen 7 3700x and wanted the 5900 but this will do perfectly. No regrets.
