Kepler sets a new standard!

Stays cool under load, ~65-70c.
Power draw less than a GTX460 1GB.
Simple yet stylish casing looks attractive in the PC case window.
Nearly silent fan. It can only be heard if all other case fans are off.
3GB of GDDR5!
Responds well to overclocking on the core and memory and still stays running cool.
Comes with a backplate installed.
Coms with Borderlands2 download code through Steam.
All games play on ultra settings @ 1080P without a sweat.

192bit memory bus has significantly less performance than the next step up to 256bit. However, this downfall can be somewhat dampened by increasing the memory clock frequency. During mild testing I have approached 6400MHz effective, which puts it around 155GB/S (144GB/S stock). Comparatively, a bus of 256bit at 6008MHz runs 192GB/S, so it still trails behind a GTX670.

This is my first impression review of this GPU. I will review again after a while when I've done some more testing and benchmarking.

Borderlands2 (single player) @ 1920x1080 Ultra settings = 80-110FPS
Battlefield3 (multiplayer) @ 1920x1080 Ultra settings = 60-100FPS
Skyrim (hi-res texture mod) @ 1920x1080 Ultra settings = 60-90FPS
ARMA2 (single player, benchmark mission) @ 1920x1080 Ultra settings = 50-80FPS

I have not tested multi-monitor at this point. Next review by me will include triple monitor benchmarks...

TOP CRITICAL REVIEW
Graphics so realistic you can smell the flames.

Fast
Quiet
Power Effecient
Like the new power connector location, gives you more clearance at the end of the card
Will max out Farcry3 @ 1080p on Ultra w/ 2x MSAA @ 40-70 fps
Free RMA shipping both ways *see cons below*

Would really like to have waited a little while longer to write my review so I could expand my list of pros.... However about an hour into Farcry3 at completely stock settings the computer shuts down. Then starts back up automatically, the GPU fan kicks on full blast and smoke starts shooting out of the GPU exhaust port from the top of the computer(RV-02 vertical mounted MB) followed by sparks followed by what appeared to be fire until I pulled the power cable from the PS.... needless to say the card is now dead and my office is full of smoke that smells of burning electronics.

Received this as a Christmas gift from my wife who did not purchased from Newegg.

RMA process with EVGA was painless, almost no wait time to speak to tech/customer support and free RMA shipping both ways.

Power supply is a Corsair HX750 behind a APC battery backup so it doesnt seem like it was a power issue.

Installed my old 8800gt back in and miraculously everything else still works, thought for sure it would have taken something else out with it.

Other than the previously stated cons I loved the card, looking forward to getting a working replacement and will revisit the review after a few weeks with the replacement.
