- No driver or booting problems. My first Nvidia card so I'm kinda impressed.
- Fans under stress are quieter than my case fans (like wow). Haven't noticed any coil whine (yet). At one point I thought they were broken because (by default) they don't spin until temps reach 45 C. Max temps haven't exceeded 65 C during gaming.
- Easily overclocked to 2050 Mhz, but stock settings usually boost to 1980 Mhz so I think I'll just stick with that.
- Plays all my games at max settings without crashing/stuttering @ 3440x1440 ultrawide 100 Hz
Gears 5: Ultra settings, 100 FPS (65-70 FPS when things get intense), fans never exceed 50%
Ironsights Beta: Ultra settings, maxed out 100 FPS, fans NEVER turn on.
Battlefield 5: Ultra settings (RTX off), 102 FPS
Resident Evil 2: Max settings, 100 FPS (80 FPS at low)
Civ 6: Max settings, 67 FPS (60 FPS at low)
- Huge AND heavy card. Not a problem with my motherboard and Phanteks P400S Mid Tower. If you have a HDD cage in the front, make sure you measure the space between it and the motherboard or it might not fit.
- RTX is gorgeous BUT frame rate suffers dramatically when turned on.
- Love CoD, but would have preferred a 2 game bundle. Just personal preference.
Upgraded from a Sapphire Vega 64 because fans sound like a vacuum while gaming and audio would cut off at times. I was looking for a card that was quieter, could run Ultra at my native resolution without heat throttling, and didn't break the bank. Decided to take a gamble and save money by purchasing this rather than the 2080. Would highly recommend for anyone looking to upgrade.
- I am getting a boost of 1995 mhz without any overclocking, which is great.
- The temperature never goes above 65C under load and the fans are very quite when spinning.
- Precision X1 software is easy to use and offers many features.
- RGB looks amazing.
- All of the three fans on this card make a clicking sound (similar to a hard drive) when they start spinning. Custom fan curve with constant spinning fans "fixes" it. Sadly, it seems to be a common problem.
- Custom fan curves don't work well with MSI Afterburner as only one of the fans can be controlled with it. The other two fans only spin according to the card's BIOS.
- The card also has slight coil whine at high framerates.
Overall, this is a great looking card that performs very well. But some of the mentioned problems keep it from being perfect.
