Too often, when you’re building a system on a budget, you’re forced to choose between price and quality. Even on a budget, you need a stable, reliable power supply unit. The Antec BP500UB delivers 500 Watts of power with active PFC to save energy and industrial-grade protection circuitry which protects your components from damage caused by short circuits, over circuits, excess voltage and other hazards. Its UL listing and 1-year warranty ensure that you’re getting a reliable power supply.
An integral cooling fan helps to keep the power supply operating at optimal temperature, and at a low noise level. Despite its price, the BP500UB doesn’t skimp on versatility with enough cables – and power – to connect up to five peripherals, a pair of SATA devices, a PCI Express expansion card and a floppy drive. Just because you’re on a budget, it doesn’t mean you can’t have reliable power.
High Power OutputThe BP500UB delivers 500 watts of power to your components consistently and efficiently.

Pros: Dual 12v rails with 18A on both for $40?! That's and insane deal. I bet you 90% of all other 500W PSUs can't put out the same amount of power for the price and stand up to the quality of this unit.
Cons: P4 cpu power connector was a little short in an Antec 300 case but it reached. 20+4 pin gave me a hard time since it didn't label which side the 4 extra were supposed to go on so there I was spending 5 mins trying to push it in wrong. But that's my fault for being stupid.
Overall Review: It powers an E7200 @ 3.61GHz on an ASUS P5QL-PRO, 4GB DDR2 1066MHz, HD 4850 with no problems.
