Question 1

I have an audio amplifier that I feel runs a bit warm. Can I wire a plug to this to plug into a switched outlet on the amp? I would simply sit the fan on top. Thanks.

The fan uses a 4-pin molex connector for power. Depending on your wiring skills, you may be able to cut and splice the wires to power it how you want. These fans might not be as effective as you hope, they really only push a good amount of air when they are used within a closed environment, and one that has positive air pressure.

Is this fan a Power Supply connector or Motherboard connector?

This fan has the older 4-pin Molex connector for the power supply.  It has a switch in the power wire for high or low speed.

I put several of these in my Antec 100 case and ran them all at the slower speed.  I have exhaust fans at the rear and top of the case, and intake fans on the side near the processor and in the front by the hard drives.  My computer is quiet and cool.

Question 3

Will this fit in any fan bracket? Like in the Antec Twelve Hundred side window bracket?

This fan will fit any bracket that can handle a 120mm fan.  I have several in my case and they have all been easy install into the available 120mm fan spaces on the case with no issues.  Only thing to watch for is the way these are held in place with the rubber "peg".  Sometimes there is limited room to pull through the "peg" to secure the fan.  But a good pair of sharp scissors can help with the "pegs".

WILL THIS FAN REPLACE THE ONE IN MY HP HDX 1040 US LAPTOP?

No.  This fan is meant for a desktop/tower PC.  It is an inch deep and it looks like your laptop is only "1.31 (min H)/1.74(max H)" inches deep.  Newegg does not seem to have replacement laptop fans.  Such things tend to be very specific to the laptop so the best bet is going through HP.

is it a 2 wire fan ?

I have been using Antec products for more than a decade. I actually have 3 Antec PC cases. My latest purchase allowed the installation of additional cooling fans including the Antec True Quiet 120 120mm Case Fan.  I did have one fan that had a cracked fan blade. Antec has a lengthy warranty and perhaps a lifetime warranty that was replaced with no questions asked. They are easy to replace or install.

Question 6

If the current was blowing into my face, would I be looking at the Antec logo?  Or would I be seeing the other side of the fan?

If you are seeing the antec logo, it is blowing in your face. (Exhaust).

I've found that the best way to tell on the fly if a fan is intake or exhaust is to lay toliet paper over it.

Does this fan have ball bearings or sleeve type bearing?

Not sure how you'd determine that without taking it apart. Seems checking with the manufacturer would be the best way to get a correct answer to that question.

How many wires? How many pins?

There's two wires: one wire that has a switch to manually control the speed to low and high. And the other wire which connects to the motherboard.

As for the pins, there's four rubber pegs (+2 extras) instead of metal screws that you pull through the orange triangular brackets. Make sure you insert the pegs through the larger opening. They're supposed to reduce case noise. I hope that helps!

Does Anyone know where to get more of the Rubber Fan Mounts that come with this product?

No, Sorry. But I would try contacting the vendor.
If all fails, you CAN use a normal screw. I did it, and it worked fine. It also did not add any noise, in case you are wondering :)

I run my fans on a variable voltage motor control, will this fan run properly at variable voltage?

Mine are invariable voltage and I've had no problem with either fan.
