My Apple Airport Extreme currently has an unused ethernet port. Is this where the Arlo base station is plugged? Thanks.

There are 4 ethernet ports on the back of an Airport Extreme. The left most one (closest to the power connector) is a WAN port and can not be used. The other three are fair game and is where the Arlo base station should be plugged into.

Can you mix and match the cameras between the Smart Home system and the Pro Security system? Would it be better to have the Smart Home system first then add a Pro camera or the other way around?

You can mix and match the cameras. Or just mix. If you want the home alarm, best to start with a Pro system. If you don't care about that, the home system is cheaper. I started with home and later bought Pro and sold the base - continuing to use the Smart Home cameras.

You can view the videos and images either through the phone or through your browser. The device has written instructions and a url link to the site where you will need to make a free account.
