I bought this for my brother because he wanted a laptop capable of doing newer games (although he mainly plays World of Warcraft and doesn't task it that hard). He is actually pretty happy with it. It has really good hardware for the price. He had it go dead once after transporting it, but a quick Google search solved it and he just did a hard reset, with no issues since. As with most gaming laptops the battery life is terrible, so ideally you will be near an outlet, although you can temporarily disable the GPU and save some extra battery life. In my opinion the 256GB SSD is a little small and preferably would be at least 500GB, but it's more than enough room for a boot drive and a few frequently used programs. In all I would say it's worth a good hard look and is a very good value for hardware you get. The 6GB GPU should be able to handle a lot as my understanding is the 10 series cards are the same from laptop to desktop unlike the 900 series. I have a 3GB 1060 in my desktop and it plays everything, although I don't use VR games. Hope this helps.

The memory in laptop is 16GB single or 8GB*2 ?

1x16gb, the access hatch on the back allows fairly easy expansion to 32gb by adding a second 16gb stick. It also allows access to hdd and m2 ssd in case  they need to be replaced.

Question 4

It says it has discrete graphics. Is the GPU on the mother board or on a separate graphics card? I've had problems with Nvidia graphics in the past and a separate graphics card is cheaper to replace.

No.  the GPU is soldered into the mobo.  same as the cpu.  I had this problem when I broke an G73 (the larger one) which also has them integrated.  even the fatter G73 ones have them integrated to the mobo.  the only way to get a separate card on a laptop is to spend like $4k+ on one of those massive ones unfortunately.

If u mean charging laptop with usb c charger then its No.
If u mean charging usb c device with ysb c port then yes.

Is the ROG logo on the cover only in red or is it programmable to a different color?

The ROG logo on the back of the  cover stays red. I haven't been able to change it. Color for the keyboard is programmable.

Can you use the F keys without holding the function(FN) key, and is there a home and end key that is NOT part of the numberpad? (Should be just above the number pad).

Yes, the F keys are F keys by default. You can hit function to do alternate things like screen brightness and stuff.

There is a dedicated home button but not a dedicated end. Function 1 is the only end I see.

Should I worry about the heat while editing videos and graphics?  Should I look for a newer model where they might have fixed the heat or that has a bigger cooling case?

I bought this model but i have not powered it up. It is a gift to a close personal friend whom I will see her in March. I have only seen a few reviews of another model that Asus made that had heat issues. This one appears to have two larger fans and other items installed to assist in cooling the laptop down. This Asus laptop is built for gaming, and although editing videos and graphics can be somewhat stressful on a PC, I do not believe that it will create an issue. make sure the laptop is in an area that is well ventilated. Avoid smothering the laptop - do not place it on a bed, or table with a tablecloth or anywhere else that restricts air flow. I reasearched laptops for about 3 months prior to purchasing this one. I personally believe it will do just fine in any environment, and with the 1060 graphics card and available memory, the graphics will be better and will be less stress than on a GTX 1050. Look over the ASUS advertisement / features at the bottom of the laptop listing on newegg and see if that meets your requirements. I know the alienware line cannot be beat for cooling, but I also have heard that the alienware line doesn't do too well in longevity. I like ASUS for the stability of products over the years. This particular model was on sale over Thanksgiving and Black friday for about 1249. Even at its current price it is a pretty good deal. In my opinion, only MSI might come close to this, but you'll end up losing some features. I wish you luck in your decision.

Question 10

Does the trackpad on this model have buttons below for right and left mouse clicks? I can't tell from the photos and don't want another laptop without buttons.

That is completely not true, the buttons are integrated into the corners below the trackpad.
