Sorry I don't know it the card can cause crashes. While I was able to install the card my mother board lacked another connection to enable the use of Thunderbolt.

Almost definitely not.  Unless you have an Asus motherboard that explicitly supports this, then stay away.

Has anyone tried this with an Audio Interface like Presonus or Steinberg?

Yes.  I use this thunderbolt card with a Presonus Quantum 4848 interface and Studio One.  For the most part it has done the job reliably.  Occasionally on the first connection attempt I cannot pass audio and I need to restart Studio One and the Quantum interface, after which it works like a charm.  I believe this issue is more of a Presonus driver problem than it is anything to do with the thunderbolt card itself.  I also use this card to interface to a network attached storage device, where I can get very decent throughput to a RAID10 storage array.  For reference I am using this card with an ASUS motherboard (Z690 chipset).  I would have preferred to have thunderbolt integrated into the motherboard but at the time that I was in the market there was not a good option available with the features I needed.
