Pros: Absolutely no trouble setting it up this slick little mainboard right out of the box. Its quick booting. As always with a graphic and audio integrated board you will have far less trouble to just use the onboard devices even though they are lackluster, if you want a gaming machine this is not the proper board. It works well as an inexpensive workstation or internet surfer.

Cons: Be sure to look at the photo and description and make certain that the AV8-MX has enough features to suit your intended use. Even though only two RAM sockets it does support Dual Channel so be sure to use a matched pair of DDR 3200 for best performance.

Overall Review: Shipped with BIOS 0402 which may have been buggy as it's no longer offered at www.asus.com, flashed to latest BIOS 0503 with no issues.

Pros: It works. Thats always a plus. They have a much better method of insterting proccessors with the 939 socket. Which is good, as that was fairly stressful.

Cons: I can't vouch for the SATA capability or the onboard graphics as I don't make use of them.

Overall Review: It was a little hard to find a quality board with 939 a socket, AGP slot, and a Hyper-Transport bus. But this one fit.

Pros: This board seems to be reliable, and worked out of the box with windows. Engineering and placement seems to work well.

Cons: Well I bought this board to run it as a file/print server and firewall. The SATA south bridge chipset is not currently compatible with any linux distro and isn't likely to be anytime soon. 2.6.18 kernel should have support. OpenBsd has released support for it just in the last week or two and seems to work alright. Bios required a flash right away as it was very out of date.

Overall Review: I think the board will be fine as soon as the various linux distro's catch up. At the moment it's kind of a pain.

Overall Review: Here are my set-ups: Athlon X2 4200+ 2Gb ram, HIS X1600 Pro 512, 300gb 16mb cache maxtor HDD. And: Athlon 64 3500+ OC to 2.7Ghz, 1Gb ram, 9600XT. Just a little side note, dont let your brother put in a mobo in a new case, especially when he doesnt put the brass pin down first, lol. Arcing and smoke is never good.

Pros: Takes any amd cpu there is and runs very nicely as long as you update you BIOS AND AMD CPU BIOS. no problems whatso ever.

Overall Review: Very good for a agp system, as long as you keep thing up to date you will have a very nice set-up garunteed. I am running a athlon 64 3500+ with 2 gig ram and is FAST or just a single core no matter what the other reviewers say
